Hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy may lead to fluid retention and other changes that cause swelling in the body. Fluid retention is one reason that CTS may develop during pregnancy. However the good news is that, most cases of carpal tunnel syndrome resolve within six to twelve weeks after birth. Avoid repetitive and load bearing tasks with your hands and wrists where possible. Use braces whenever the situation is unavoidable. You can speak with your boss at office where you both can mutually find out the solution considering your temporary physical incapacity. Practice a low salt diet as it can help decrease fluid
