Socialization grows much simpler with the use of smartphones and the ability to call others. Everywhere people go, they are able to send a thought or plan in an instant. With ease of communication, scheduling appointments, conference calls, trips, meetings, etc. can be scheduled from miles away. The use of technology doesn’t only increase convenience of chatting, but also helps to increase the fun in socializing. People are able to message, share photos, and post to their peers through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat (Wortham 394). These apps create fun and interactive interfaces that allow humans to mingle with one another and to meet others from foreign countries, something that could not be done without the boost of mobile devices and the internet. The simplicity of contacting others during any time of the day plays a key role in creating bonds. Bonds are strengthened as humans are able to talk to one another, at any time, through text, video, and chat messaging.
