It is estimated that anywhere from five to 20 percent of people in America will get the flu. Although most people in America recover from the flu within a few weeks, some people develop complications. The flu can also cause death. The good news is that there are several things that can be done to prevent the flu. Below is a list of tips that will help prevent the flu:

Flu Vaccination

The best thing you can do in order to prevent the flu is to get vaccinated. You can get a flu vaccine from an urgent care in Eagle River. A flu vaccine can reduce your chances of getting the flu by anywhere from 60 to 70 percent. The flu vaccine works by causing the body to develop antibodies against the flu. The antibodies will develop approximately two weeks after you are vaccinated.

Furthermore, if you are sick, then it will be easier for your body to fight the infection if you get the recommended amount of rest. Exercise
