Getting the flu shot has many benefits and disadvantages. Some prefer to get one. Others are against the idea. The flu shot has a lot more benefits than disadvantages however. Getting the flu shot can save your life surprisingly. Most people do not know how serious the flu is until they actually get it. In today's culture, it is getting more and more common to get the flu. For example, last year, the number of deaths from influenza was 5,251. So getting the flu shot will lessen your chance of getting the deadly virus, and potentially save your life. Getting the flu shot will also protect you for a long time from influenza and it is affordable. It is said that the flu shot protects you from the flu from 1 to 6 months, or an entire flu season.
