Flowers In A Basket Analysis

The choosing of an art piece to write about was difficult. I was stuck between a couple of pieces, which were “Flowers in a Basket” by Osias Beert and “Cagnes sur Mer” by William H. Johnson. I choose “Flowers in a Basket” because I relate to it the most. I heard about floral design and I choose to take that class in my 10th grade. Ever since then my life changed for the best. In that class I heard about Future Farmers of America(FFA) and I signed up. From there I entered floral arrangements into fair competitions. Doing that you had to stay on the straight and narrow. I had to make good grades and have good behavior. If I have never found out about that class I wouldn’t be where I’m at now. Another reason I choose this piece because it reminded me of my mom. On any special holidays she only asks for flowers. There is a unique part of the piece that drew me in, it was the caterpillar eating one of the petals that fell off. There is also a moth in the picture which intrigued me. I feel like he had this image in his head instead of an actual arrangement in front of him because the flowers would have died if he took a long time to paint it.

There was so much going on that I didn’t know where to start. There was a lot of beautiful paintings and sculptures. I felt like I was going through a corn maze. I would go through one door and end of somewhere else. I kept getting lost and I was getting a headache. It was pretty loud for it to be a museum. The person I bought my ticket from made this big deal on how great their light show was, but when I went to see it, it was not as good as he said. There was some works that were not kid friendly, I wish they would have put up a cautionary sign beforehand. If I knew my experience was going to be like this, I would have chosen a different museum. Next time I am definitely going somewhere

I was completely clueless about museums and didn't know what to make of them. I went online and read a little about the museum and found out that it was one of the top five museums in the country because of its cultural diversity and integrated urban population. The personnel gave me a brief tour of the museum and told me the museum does not hold gallery collections, but their exhibition is based on a periodic basis. The museum was also filled with visitors and their families, all engaged in a series of photo shoots.…
