Piece by piece, Charlie gets smarter. However, they notice something wrong. Algernon, the mouse, starts to go downhill steadily. His mental components have changed. Soon after that, Algernon dies. Charlie wonders if the mood swings and lack of intelligence that is happening to Algernon was from the experiment. According to a journal that Charlie wrote, “Dissection shows that my predictions were right. Compared to the normal brain, Algernon's had decreased in weight and…” “It's frightening to think that the same thing might be happening to me right now”(Keyes 258). That executive order stated that six “Muslim” countries were not allowed to enter the United States. Trump was proposing for this executive order to crack down on the terrorists entering the US, and reeking havoc on the citizens of the United States.
