The novel Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keys and Charly, the movie made after the novel have some very big differences and many similarities. For example, one similarity is the boy in the diner. In the novel, the boy in the diner break a bunch of plates and glasses and Charlie gets upset at the people for laughing at him since the boy is just like Charlie before the surgery.
