Negative reinforcement was employed for failing to comply with the OT when he was requested to return the peg he took when the OT diverted her attention elsewhere. During the obstacle course, the client became very angry, self-stimulating by screaming aloud, clapping hands, hitting his mouth with his fist and slapping his jaws for no apparent reasons. The OT thought it was his allergies; however, his mother stated that he doesn’t have allergies now. The OT employed positive reinforcement, therapeutic use of self, active friendliness to calm him down in order to participate in 5 rounds instead of 10
