I am more than glad that I still have them because it built up my admiration for socks. Those Bob the Builder socks are my lucky pair of socks. I have probably worn them every year in preparation for a piano recital, school play, benefit show, baseball game, math test, or whatever is thrown my way.…

In addition, we created another club titled Hand and Paw to take a stand and to help the community like we do in Leadership and Service club, however, this club is specifically to help animals. I enjoy now taking part in these activities because I feel I make a beneficial impact in the world. From reading to a child, to earning a dollar to help the humane society, I learned that I feel the most excitement when I make an impact on other’s lives.…

As an HGR, I am already familiar with programming events to keep members involved. Part of programming is working on a budget and therefore I am already familiar how to be wise in making sure that I get the most out of the money allotted. As mentioned earlier, I always come in with a smile and a positive attitude and this will send a message to committee members that they part and welcome in the club.…

As co-president, I get the opportunity to choose various service projects such as Feed the Hungry, Salvation Army, and Special Olympics. “Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.” -Charles William Elliot I find this quote to be fully true and I learned this important lesson about writing, reading, and literature when I was a freshman in high school, in one of the most feared classes there, Mr. Monsour 's biology class. Not many people are fond of reading and writing, especially as an assignment to be graded by the “destroyer of dreams and grades.” The typical reading and writing assignment seems like it would not have a large impact on a student, but to me it caused a change in heart to reading and literature as well as helped me learn and relearn something about myself.…
