When I begin to ponder on all of my qualities or unique characteristics I begin to evaluate myself. What kind of student I am? My ability to comprehend complex ideas? What are my weaknesses and how can I improve on them. When I think about Florida A&M University and how it has been recognized among the “Best National Universities” and how it has also been listed among The Princeton Review’s “Best in the Southeast” colleges. I compare my qualities and characteristics and think how I can contribute to the university community. Having integrity is one of many things I value about myself I would agree that integrity is one of my tremendous qualities. Living your life knowing that you have integrity is doing what is right even when no one is watching.

During my childhood, I spent an unusual amount of time at construction pads for various reasons, such as friends building new homes and my family looking at new neighborhoods. My father used our time at one of these pads to tie together a lesson. He, in his kind voice, recited First Corinthians 3:11 “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” He went on to tell me how foundations determine the grandness of the structure to come; whether that be physical, spiritual or educational.
