Florida A & M University Scholarship Essay

I decided to attend Florida A&M University (FAMU) for a variety of reasons, including the location of its campus, because I was offered a full scholarship, and of course, because of the pharmacy program. Moreover, I believe that I am the ideal candidate for being a part of FAMU’s pharmacy program.
To begin, FAMU is located in Tallahassee, Florida, a city that I had wanted to attend college in since I was in elementary school. Tallahassee is a city of containing and surrounded by many events and opportunities, so no matter your preferred “scene,” you are likely to be able to find something you do. Another upside to FAMU’s location is that it also places me very close to my mother and the rest of my maternal family, who I had previously not gotten to see almost since elementary school.

One of my biggest end-goals for college was (and is) to graduate as close to debt-free as possible. I did not want to have to worry about money while in college for fear that it would lead to a distraction and potential drop in my grades. So when applying to colleges, I was absolutely ecstatic to find that I had received the DSA Full scholarship from FAMU.
While location and receiving scholarships are important reasons for having chosen an institution, those factors would be absolutely pointless if the selected university did not offer any sort of pharmacy program or if its program was not a very good one. After comparing what I could find about FAMU’s program to those of other universities, I knew that FAMU was going to be the best school for me and my
