Florence Nightingale was born in Italy. Her family moved to China when she was one. Her parents went to China to escape war. Florence and her family live in a city called Happiness. Florence is very educated. Ever since Florence could read she heard about a legend. The legend was about a hidden treasure in a magical forest. The legend said the forest was located outside the city walls. It said that only at night the animals come out and talk. The legend tells her that no one can see it. The only ones who can see it are the people who believe in it. Florence believes in it. Once a person gets there and enters they are offered help by the wise animals. Many people have rejected help. They have never accomplished the task.

She goes out around 10 PM. She brings the book, flashlight, blanket, and first aid kit. Florence sneaks outside her house and down the block where she is safe. She then pulls out her book and reads the directions. The directions say to start outside the city walls. Then head North to a cave. Next knock on the cave. The cave should open. Go in and find the wise owl sitting on a branch.
Florence follows the directions and finds the owl. She tells the owl that she read about the magical forest legend and wants to find the treasure.
The owl replies, “Look around, who do you see?”
Florence answers “I see birds, owls, deer, bunnies, dwarfs and monkeys. Why not wolves, foxes, and hawks?”
The owl replies “Wolves, foxes, and hawks are sly animals and are tricksters. They will try and hurt you. The other animals are special because they can talk and will train you.”
Florence says, “Train me for what?”
Owl replies, “Train you for what lies ahead. In order to get the full training you need, you have to come back every night at the same time.. You can’t be late but you can be early. The animals will watch closely to her progress on getting through the magical forest. She has her survival pack that the animals had her make. Florence enters the forest and is faced with her first test. She uses all her knowledge from her training to help her win the test. Florence finds clues that lead to the treasure. The wolves, hawks, and foxes use all of their tricks to try and not let Florence get the treasure. She proves the animals wrong. They are out of tests except for the worst test. They test her with the worst test. She wins the test but it takes her a long time because the animals made it really tough to win the test. The forest made it tough to get through and the animals gave her hard obstacles to get through.
Florence wins and moves on to finish finding the clues. She gets a clue that tells her to find a secret city. There she is to help them. She finds the village and helps them, starts a hospital and trains nurses and doctors. The villagers in return give Florence the last piece of the puzzle.
They tell her “Thank you for you help. No one has made it this far.”
Florence replies, “No problem, and thank you for you help.”
She finds the treasure and the good animals are there to congratulate her. She tells them “Thank you for you help. I appreciate all of you.”
She and the animals celebrate with them and then she returns to her home that night. In the morning she shows
