The following tables will help you gather the data necessary for analyzing each of the five floor plans in the Floor Plan Site Survey exercise. As you go through the exercise, complete the information in each table. The information gathered in this assignment will assist you in your final project.

Conference Center

Explain the major features of this floor plan. Yes, I would definitely place it somewhere else. Yes, I think due to the concrete walls and elevator, the conference center could use an AP point and this could possibly allow the phone switching room to receive a signal and a stronger one for the break room. |

Customer Service Call Center

Explain the major features of this floor plan. For example, are there large open spaces, large walls, cubes, or offices? | The customer service call center (CSCC) have a conference room behind concrete walls and located next to a break room equipped with microwaves and vending machines that disrupt the signal. The cubicles to the left of the tall metal shelving can’t receive signals and the further left I tested, the weaker the signal became. | Identify areas of this floor plan that may present issues when designing your network. Why will these areas present issues? For each area identified, what can you do to overcome the issue? | I believe that it is a bad idea to have a conference room located behind concrete walls and next to a break room. An additional access point on the left side of the AP would eliminate the cubicles on the left receiving no signals and relocate the metal shelving to the back of the room to decrease chances of reflection. I believe an Omni-directional antenna positioned in the center of the floor plan with the addition of relocating or removing the metal shelving would eliminate the weak signal
