I do agree with the student and teacher benefits of using the flipped model of instruction that are outlined in the Sprouts video. One of the benefits it noted was that the flipped learning increased learning efficiency. Because students can learn by themselves after class through the materials online and bring questions into the class to discuss with teachers and peers. In the article on Tampa Bay Times, Cynthia Brame indicated that “ What I think makes it effective is, it gives instructors the opportunity to incorporate active learning into their classrooms . . . focusing on the hardest tasks you 're going to ask (students) to do." So the flipped class increased efficiency by the coordination of learning in class and outside class.
There are a lot of benefits in implementing the flipped classroom model besides the student being able to review the video content. First of all, without the limitation of time and space, students are able to study online at any places. For example, in our video, a student make the most of his time studying on the bus with his mobile phone. Besides, it increased leaning

For example, the process of teaching on Internet is standard and uniform without pause. So students can not get immediate response from instructors if they have question about the course material. Instead, they have to write down the questions and bring them into the class. If they didn’t do that, they may forget the points they wanted to ask. The article in Tampa Bay Times pointed out some students prefer to have someone talking to them directly so that they can ask question. The other disadvantage is what you said that some students may stop attending lecture in person. The alternative I can think of is to set some activities that students can perform well only if they familiar with the course materials, such as group work or quizzes outside
