Flexpath Case Study

Mountain Home Junior High has attempted to give our students more choices this year.
We enrolled five students in our FlexPath program which allows student so complete course work with a flexible seating plan. These students can do assignments from home and return to school to test.
First female student needed to the flexible pace of FlexPath so she could finish her work before she had her baby. This young lady did finish half of her classes and is working to finish the rest while recouping from the delivery of her son.
Second female student tried the FlexPath after being enrolled in regular classes. She was enrolled in FlexPath classes on October 06, 2018. The autonomy was a little too much for her and she returned to a regular school setting in January 2017.
Male student with severe stomach issues, that caused him to lose a tremendous amount of weight and class time. This young man failed two classes the first semester. FlexPath allowed this student to retake those classes as well and continue with his second-semester courses. His health still causes him issues, so he works when he can and comes to school to

She was not a fan of this idea, but her mother what the student to try it out. The first couple of weeks were a struggle. Not only did this student not want to do the FlexPath program, but she was having trouble navigating the programs. After her counselor helped her figure out the layout she was off. This student found that through the FlexPath program she was her own boss, and she loves it. This student is a second-year ninth grader with only 8.5 credits after three semesters. However, became of the FlexPath program, this student is driven to do better. She will most likely have all A’s and B’s.
