The Adams Plus Flea and Tick collar is meant for every domestic pet and is still effective even when exposed to extreme wetness. It is able to kill fleas even before they are fully hatched and it is also great in killing larger fleas and ticks. Homes with several pets are usually prone to flea infestation and since flea and tick collars are not cheap, you might need to find an efficient alternative. The Adams Plus Flea and Tick Collar does not earn great reviews in the beginning, but believe me when I say that is more effective when you allow it to air out before putting them on your pet’s neck.
The harsh chemicals will be less likely to affect your pet once you have aired it out for a week or so. Once you have done this, be sure that it is safely and securely tied around their neck area and be certain that there is no chance that your cat or dog will lick the flea collar as it

But how does the flea collar work?
The flea collar is meant to repel and treat your pet. There are flea collars that produce a gas that is able to kill the fleas and ticks once they bite through your pets. There are other types of flea collars that have an added medication that goes through your pet’s skin that is able to kill fleas, ticks, and other insects before they bite.
Just be careful of ingredients that can be harmful for your pets like the Tetrachlorvinphos (TCVP), which is harmful to both people and pets. Another thing to remember is not to allow your children to touch the pet collar as it can have chemicals that are harmful for your children.
It is also important to practice proper hygiene for our cats and dogs, since they are prone to getting in contact with unhygienic items.
