Kelsi’s Letter D Flaws, every single person has one. What if everyone had to wear a letter in honor of their flaw or mistake? In the Scarlet Letter, a young woman named Hester Prynne committed an affair, and she conceives a child. Due to her affair, she must wear a letter “A”, meaning adultery. People shamed Hester for her one mistake, and she must live with it for the rest of her life. If I had to wear a letter describing my hamartia, it would be the letter “D”. Some people are arrogant. Some people are discourteous. No matter what it is, every human being has some sort of flaw. No matter how flawless a person seems, no person is perfect. Being diffident is one of my main flaws. For most situations, I become extremely uneasy. I lack confidence
