Shakespeare is one of the greatest playwrights in history and in 1599 Shakespeare wrote Julius Caesar one of his greatest plays right next to Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth. In this research paper the backgrounds of Julius Caesar and Brutus, two people from the play, will be talked about and how Brutus stabs his best friend Julius Caesar in the back. Also, a modern day Julius Caesar, Gandalf the Grey, and a modern day Brutus, Saruman the White, have been chosen so that their relationship, and how Saruman stabbed Gandalf in the back and how Saruman betrayed Gandalf, can be compared to Julius Caesar and Brutus.
In this first paragraph the background of Julius Caesar will be talked about. In the beginning of the story Flavius and Marullus are putting down the two common people by saying. In lines 102-117 Cassius is calling Caesar weak because once when Cassius and Caesar jumped into a raging river, Caesar was close to drowning so Caesar called out to Cassius for help so that he wouldn’t die. This research paper has described how William Shakespeare is an amazing playwright and that the play Julius Caesar perfectly describes how a friend can be turned against you and how badly that person can hurt you and regret their decision. In this research paper the relationship between Julius Caesar and Brutus was described. Also, the modern day Julius Caesar and Brutus relationship was described and how the modern day Brutus stabbed the modern day Julius Caesar in the back. So in the end, it doesn’t matter if you’re trying to stop the rise of an evil spirit from coming back into the realm of the living or trying to stop your best friend from becoming a tyrant by killing him, you should remember that you have to live with the decisions you make on the way to your end
