Workflow connected applications to applications so that people all over the world can work together (Friedman, 2005). People worked on computers more than ever before. The fourth flattener is outsourcing. Outsourcing is when software works seamlessly with all of the other technology, anything could be done (Friedman, 2005). Work could be brought to another place in the world and be done cheaper and better. The fifth flattener is offshoring. Offshoring allowed factories to be transferred to different countries. The sixth flattener is open-sourcing. Open-sourcing is the new technology options that arrive and let engineers collaborate with each other for free. A person can compete with anyone without having to move places. People around the world can see that there are more diverse jobs
