Her roommate was especially mad at her for the mess she left in their room, they both started picking at eachother. One was mad about the room and the other about loud music. Things got heated, the rest of us were upset that she was not doing her dishes and helping with the trash. We didn’t know what to do! It got the point where we were asked to take sides.
One of them kept coming to me for advice since I have been dubbed the “apartment mom.” I helped initiate a

Three rivals, Flour, Salt, and Yeast, all lived in old Mrs. Baker’s kitchen. Each of them believed that they were better than their other cupboard mates. Flour thought that Yeast was uncivilized because of his tannish color, and that Salt’s coarseness translated to a rough personality. Though Salt shared Flour’s view on Yeast, he still hated Flour’s ignorant ideas about fineness equating to a more gentle personality. Yeast disliked Flour and Salt because they just didn’t seem like fun guys.…

Alana, Latasha, and Deborah agreed that culture diversity within a group environment may limit the communication between group participants. In the event of Alana participating in virtual group environments she discovered how individuals of different cultures presented different forms of communication. Although, physical contact was not presented, Alana, realized how a group participant’s communication by the means of writing could be challenging, fun, and or interesting. This year the Annual Literacy Festival was titled Strange Bedfellows and was mainly about Politics and Literature. This title was chosen to be the theme this year because of the new upcoming president that will be elected and all of the politics that are taking place right now. All of the participants this year were chosen based off of the fact that they all connect to “poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and have attempted to make sense and art out of political actualities” (Old Dominion University Libraries). The festival took place from Sunday September 25th to Thursday September 29th at different locations on campus. The event that I attended was held at the Baron and Ellie Gordon Art Galleries, I really enjoyed where the event took place because…

In this paper, I will argue that in “The Cohabitation Epidemic” Neil Clark Warren does not successfully support his conclusion stating that people should be alarmed by the current situations of cohabitation epidemic between couples (Vaughn 482). The author spent a myriad of time discrediting cohabitation between couples as not the right form of trial marriage, which to me is lost in the mix. The author begins his story by explaining the social changes that have taken place during the previous decades, indicating the adverse rise of “cohabitation partner couples/ households (Vaughn 481).” Therefore, all the psychologists who possess knowledge of working with both the married and single couples must get alarmed when such cohabitation cases are…

Although I’m nice to her and make my best efforts not to disturb the working relationship it has become painfully obvious through my avoidant behavior that I’m not fond of her.…

I was really grateful for the opportunity to visit the independent living center and learn more about their programs that they offer. It is a program that I have heard of before but didn’t really understand what it was. I thought it was an assistant living home that helps people develop more independent skills, so that they can return to their families at home or live alone. I had a basic understanding of their goal, but I had also a partial false belief of their services that I’m grateful to have corrected. I really enjoyed Debra and Julie taking their time to help us understand their goals and how they themselves have been involved in the independent living movement and the passing of the ADA.…
