Having the flashbacks and present let us see that. Win told principal Kellar two ridiculous lies (26), having this being said tells you Win was a constant liar. Then Chris looks in Win’s pannier and found a softball size, wad of cash (91). He keeps lying and lying more, including saying that the postcard laying on the floor was for his uncle that is in Seattle, when really he doesn’t have an uncle in Seattle (129). Then he just up and left Chris with a flat tire and no patches (210). But then when Chris finds Win at Morgan’s he finally looked happy and peaceful for once and Win never looked peacefully (213).
