I got the interview, because I kept calling them about the openings for a pharmacy technician position. When I graduate I plan to take a year off and retake/ take some classes for PA school and PT school. I plan to take the GRE as well. While I am doing that, I need to have a good job that will help me pay for the bills I have to pay for that year. I feel like that I would enjoy pharmacy technician job, well I am waiting to apply to PA and/or PT school. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any opening for that position, but a good way to get my foot in the door is to work their part time. Since they had some openings for part time position I took the opportunity. If they give me the job they can see how I work and I can work my way up to that pharmacy technician position, when it opens up. Walgreens have their own classes you can take to be certified to become a pharmacy technician also. The interview went very well and the manager loved some of my answer I gave to some of his question he asked. He said he will call me soon as tonight or this weekend to let me know if I got the job and come in to take a drug test. Later that night, I got a call that I GOT THE JOB at Walgreens and to come in tomorrow to take a drug test. I went to Walgreens to pick up my paper work to get my drug test done before class. The drug clinic that you take your drug tests at was located by the ECU proctor testing center. On my way to the drug clinic, I was hoping that there was not a lot of people there, because I wanted to make sure that I made it to class on time for my quiz. When I got there, thank God there was no one there and it only took me 10 minutes to do the drug test. I was able to make it to my class an hour early.
The quiz was based on the homework we went over in class on Tuesday. On the quiz we had to identify the rate and rhythm of the heartbeat by using our EKG paper, see if the EKG have any P waves in order to find out the PR interval. After we figure out if there is a QRS interval we have to determine the rhythm interpretation. The quiz was not that hard, but there were two of the questions that were really tricky, because they looked very similar. Overall, I feel like I passed the
