There is an article written by a professor that disagrees with Dweck's theory of the growth mindset. In it, it states that a growth mindset won’t work because it only has a .19 percent effect rate. It states that the only real effects come from a rate of .40 or higher. Meaning the author of this article doubts that this theory of changing mindsets is successful enough to prove a real difference in society as a whole. Although, it does agree that we must move away from a fixed mindset, and offers steps teachers should take in order to do so, such as: less testing, more feedback, flexible grouping, different questioning, and for them to stop talking so much. Therefore, not everyone believes in the effects of changing the way you think, but the initial idea of creating a more positive outlook on situations in order to achieve the highest amount of success is a commonly shared
