People’s mindsets set up quite differently through their motivations. We are separated from each other by two mindsets. The fixed mindset and the growth mindset. The fixed mindset, in which you have only a certain amount of valued skill or talent, draws people to the impression of looking great all the time. Their mindset tells them that they have to be perfect and avoid anything to contravene that impression. They highlight their aptitude and hide their flaws. They will often ignore beneficial knowledge opportunities if these opportunities take the liability of exposing their shortcomings. The growth mindset, in which you can develop your abilities, leads people to do so. It leads them to continue on learning and later on master the very skills they needed.

In the fixed mindset, a lack of performance can bring doubt into your deep-seated ability and can sabotage your confidence. Seeing someone else having a good performance can hinder your confidence. Making you assume that your efforts and practices aren’t good enough. It’s always a nonstop battle to stay confident when unavoidable challenges strike. A growth mindset will always encounter challenges as learning experiences. Making mistakes doesn’t mean you aren’t good at something. It’s simply a time to learn.
