There are many important traits and characteristics that a leader needs to have from leading by example, being resourceful, being self aware, and having excellent communication. However, the most important is the the ability to teach and to promote learning. As it states, in Five Traits of a Good Educational Leader it is important to believe in your staff or “ everyone is doomed to [fail]. Moreover, as the author of the article of Five Traits of good leadership states, if a leader does not believe in their staff the school will have low morale. In the corporations I have worked in unfortunately I have not seen this skill implemented. For the most my bosses micro manage and they believe in punishing employees instead of training them.
