Five Second Rule Research Paper

Decent Essays
According to kidshealth the five second rule is when you drop a piece of food on the floor but still want to eat it, so you yell 5-second rule. Saying that makes it “okay” to eat it. But is it really okay, think about all of the bacteria getting on it. Does picking it up within five seconds really make a difference? Is it really as safe as we make it seem?

According to prevention there are a few things to be concerned about when eating food off the ground. For one you could get sick if enough bacteria gets transferred on it. Or you can catch a serious bug like Salmonella or E. coli. The best thing to do would be just not to eat food off the ground in the first place. But of course people are going to do what they want.

The staffs have to chance to practice their skills in a safe environment. Due to the fact, Medicare and Medicaid stop paying for patients who are been readmitted within 30 days periods, healthcare members need to find a solution to prevent unnecessary readmission. In this article “5 Discipline Tips for When Time Outs Don't Work” the author suggests saving yelling at your children for emergencies only. There has been studies recorded that say yelling at kids can increase symptoms of depression and problems with behavior. Dr. Pete Stavinoha, a pediatric psychologists co-author of the book “Stress-Free Discipline” suggests that controlling herself to "react in the correct way—to react in a way that's going to teach my child something and not just show them I'm upset with what they're doing. " will be more efficient in the long run. So, instead of yelling at your kid for something that is not putting them in danger, you should use a lower voice and speak slowly and calm to your child.…

Have you ever been forced to do something that you feel is unnecessary? The “One-and-Done” rule is a rule created by the National Basketball Association stating that a player is not aloud signing with the NBA until the age of 19. This means that the players must complete one year of college basketball before entering the draft. I, along with many others, believe that the “One-and-Done” rule should be abolished because it creates injury risk for players, it wastes the players time, and it has slowly ruined college basketball. One reason that this rule should be abolished is the fact that this extra year the players must spend in college is just an extra year to get injured.…
