Hinduism is a development of the religion brought to India by the Aryans in around 1500 B.C. These Aryans created a collection of religious scripture and hymns known as the Vedas which are studied by many of todays Hindus. Hinduism is a polytheistic religion, meaning they worship multiple deities for their contributions to the universe. Three of their main deities include Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma; who together created the world, gave humans live, and balance the population through death. Hinduism also teaches that all living beings have a soul and therefore, must be treated with respect. Because of this, many Hindu people are vegetarians and refuse to kill or eat the products of any animal.
