He is sensitive in some aspect, only when it comes to his home life. He lives in a troubled home. He is often abused and neglected, so he is sensitive in this aspect. You would never suspect this because his bad boy image would make you think otherwise. Next, in the Five-Factor Model is conscientiousness, which this character is low on. He is very careless, always doing the big, bad things around school. For example, he pulled the fire alarm and found himself in detention that Saturday, and many more to follow. He also brought weed to detention, which he keeps hidden in his locker, and he cursed multiple times at the principal. Third in the model is extraversion. He is not very outgoing, he mainly sticks to his clique of friends because that is were he feels he fits in. Although, he is talkative, the things he might be saying are either criticizing you or just being flat out rude. He is assertive, in a way people might consider him a bully, because that is how he hides his problems. For example, is very talkative with Claire, a fellow student in detention, she is not very interested in what he has to say, but he is talkative. Another example is his assertiveness; he uses fear to get what he wants. Last, the fifth and final trait is neuroticism, he is very depressed, but you would never expect it. He upholds this bad boy image. Like

Barrick and Mount (1991) further explain the remaining factors and their associative traits: openness to experience is associated with being curious, imaginative and intelligent; agreeableness is mostly associated with being cooperative, forgiving and easy going; conscientiousness has been commonly associated with organised, planful and achievement-oriented traits. The FFM allows for a framework of personality that is unified and solid (Vollrath, 2001). Furthermore this framework has shown to be consistent across different theoretical frameworks and assessments, thus strengthening the theory as a model (McCrae & Costa, 1987). The Big Five factors can be associated with both negative and positive outcomes of stressful events (Vollrath, 2001). Carver and Connor- Smith (2007) explain that the trait neuroticism leads to negative outcomes of events as this is associated with worry, anxiety and other negative emotions that may affect one’s emotional stability.…
