After reading about the five Core Propositions for Teaching from Chapter 7 of the textbook I choose proposition 1 because I feel that teaching is a process not an event and it is essential to engage students at all levels. Proposition 1 core standard stated that “Teachers Are Committed to Students and Learning” which I feel aligned to my teaching theme “technology has taken over the methodology of teaching. Therefore looking at what standard 1 is required of the teachers to accomplish with the kids which states that teachers should believe that all students can learn, treat students equitably; by recognizing the individual differences that distinguish students from one another and they take account for these differences in their practice; understand …show more content…
Therefore looking at what technology has to offer if I ever end up in the classroom I will definitely take advantage of integrating technology in my classroom to revise, create and implement standards and learning objectives in all content areas that that reflect 21st-century expertise to improve learning. The Pre-k through 12th grades education system relies on core sets of standards-based concepts and competencies that form the basis of what all students should know and should be able to do. Whether the domain is English language, mathematics, sciences, social studies, history, art, or music it is my responsibility as a teacher to instill in my students the necessary skills such as critical thinking, complex problem solving, collaboration, multimedia communication, and technological competencies demonstrated by professionals in various disciplines. It is true that students are capable of learning therefore I feel that students have the ability to achieve high academic standards only if they are presented in a context where they feel safe, supported, and happily engaged as well as challenged. The strength in respect to my theme and my selected proposition is that with the help of technology I will be able to see school not the only place for children to be educated, the communities and society should also be equipped to facilitate learning. Communities and society must support parents and families in the upbringing, socializing, and educating of their children. Schools are institutions that can prepare children to contribute to the betterment of the society in which they operate, by equipping them with skills important in society. Integrating the right technology tools will help me involve all parties’ for students to be successful. The weakness to this I know I said technology will

In this article, a key idea that I read about was how integrating technology into the classroom is sometimes put on pause because of the teacher’s knowledge and experience with technology, pedagogy, and content (TPAC). The world is constantly changing and that is including technology. It is a teacher’s responsibility to change and grow with these changes that can be so important to student’s lives and help them to better their future and education. Technology is a complicated thing, but integrating it into the classroom betters the students because they are learning in a more fun and engaging way, rather than reading word-for-word from a textbook. Integrating technology into the classroom could start at watching a simple video clip about a topic or go all the way to doing a whole unit straight from computers and tablets.…

Technology has many positive aspects, but often gets a bad rap.
