The supplier power for beverage trade is low. The ingredients utilized in to make soft drinks are terribly common; there are many suppliers who provide similar basic commodities like high fruit sugar syrup, food colouring etc. Because these ingredients are readily available the suppliers have no power over pricing. Low supplier power makes the business less competitive. Power of suppliers within the beverage business, because the most suppliers are grocery stores, restaurants and a number of other freelance stores the power of suppliers is high. They have the ability to decide on that what brand they want to sell in their stores. Coca-Cola distributes its drinks to major retailers for resale. Everyday customers of soft drinks have high power due to this there are many choices to choose from. One can like better to purchase naked juice rather than a bottle of coke. Due to the ability of consumers is high the business is more competitive. Moreover these companies launch their products according to needs and wants of consumers. Hence if consumer’s preference is changed then company has to change his strategy as well.

Analysis of Porter’s Five Forces:

Porters 5 forces permit for companies to see how competitive an industry is. Coca-Cola is in a position to use these 5 forces to see where it stands within the non-alcoholic drink industry. Within the non-alcoholic drink business, it is evident that the degree of competitive competition is medium to high. The threats of entrants are low, which means that it is tough for new firms to enter the market. The power of customer is high due to this there are various alternatives, they can switch other competitors.
