Five Cognate Strategies in Business Communication
Clarity and clear understanding helps in making comprehension much more easier. When using clarity in a piece of writing one has to bear in mind that they need to have a simple language with easy sentence structures in their message. The receiver of the message finds it easy to decode the presented message or ideas if they are a lot more clarified. The sender of the message should make sure that, the receiver finds it easy to understand and grasp their intended meaning. Clear understanding is a critical aspect of any business’ success and helps in keeping your message simple and easy to understand by the intended audience. It is also important to make the message clear to understand so that the receiver does not misinterpret the message. For example, when I was leaving South Africa to go to Zambia, I told one of my work colleague who I normally had lunch with about my intention to leave the company at the end of the month. I stated that she was the first one I was telling that news, as the company will make an announcement in a couple weeks. My message was,

To achieved conciseness in business communication, wordy expressions and repetitions should be avoided at all cost. It is important to remember to use brief, direct and to the point sentences. Thus, including relevant material that make the message concise and saves time. There is no need to loose the complete meaning of the message in order to achieve conciseness. For example, yesterday in our departmental fortnightly meeting, my line manager introduced a new member of out team and shuffled around responsibilities to enable the new employee to fit in easily. He outlined what each one of us is supposed to do and our responsibilities in meeting our goals. He outlined the schedule of time and budget presentation and documentation to present to the
