The subject of fitness is talked about by thousands of individuals everyday, but what exactly is fitness? Is it as simple as everyone says it is? The subject of fitness is talked about as if it is so simple, but the reality is it 's not as simple as we make it out to be. There are a number of variables that go along and play a role in the subject. Throughout my paper I will talk about the fundamental basics of fitness; cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular fitness, muscular flexibility, and body composition.
Before going over the fundamental basics of health related fitness, let 's start by defining fitness. According to Merriam Webster, fitness is defined as ' the quality or state of being fit '. Though this definition doesn 't give the

Cardiorespiratory endurance is often defined as the main fuel source for your body during activity. Your body provides fuel to itself through the respiratory and circulatory systems allowing you to function under strenuous activity. Cardiorespiratory endurance is any activity that elevates your heart rate, which occurs in cardio workouts, high intensity interval training, sports, cycling, hill sprints, swimming, etc. Folsom Lake College, conducted a study, and found that there are two parts to cardiorespiratory endurance. One being how efficient your heart and lungs are delivering oxygen to your body, and the second, how efficient your body is creating energy for your muscles. A misconception about high intensity or elevated heart rate exercises is that you can just jump in, the is wrong. Muscular endurance, like muscular strength speaks for itself. Muscular endurance is being able to use your muscles without tiring out, which is why i call is muscular stamina. According to Dixie State University, muscular endurance helps develop the slow fibers in your muscles. Muscular endurance can be improved through some cardiorespiratory endurance exercises as well, jogging, cycling, etc. One thing to keep in mind is that strength cannot be developed through muscular endurance exercises, this can only be done through resistance training or muscular strength
