First, to increase my muscular strength, I would try to incorporate more core strength training exercises into my work out routines. I would also set a goal of performing 10 sets of push-ups per day to accustom my body to the movement and improve the strength in my arms. Secondly, to decrease my BMI, I would reduce my caloric intake and increase my caloric expenditure by the same amount in order to burn excess calories. For my food intake, I would choose more nutrient dense foods instead of those with high energy density. To expend some extra calories each day I could set a schedule to incorporate a moderate intensity workout for 1 hour each day.
After performing the Adult Fitness Test, I was able to identify both my strong and weak areas in my fitness levels. I have learned that by repeating these exercises, stretching after workouts, and burning more calories than I take in, I can reach higher overall fitness levels. Besides the changes I need to make to my exercise routines, I also learned about the importance of cardiovascular fitness in the risk reduction of chronic diseases. I hope to apply the knowledge I have obtained about fitness in general and specifically about my own body to my current routines to better my
