As an observer of the class I think it was easy to see how the teacher implemented assessments in the lesson. For example the K-W-L graphic organizer used as an assessment helped students to monitor their learning about the topic while creating a visual representation that kept the students engaged. In my opinion this connects directly to the course discussion from week one. From observing the lesson it was clear that the teacher was purposeful in planning her assessments and when she used them. She planned learning experiences and instruction before for the students, which also allowed students to think about and reflect on the topic at hand. I did not get to see what some of the students wrote for the KWL charts but I can only imagine they used appropriate language and writing, which also connects to common
