During the four week fitness log I was able to achieve most of my goals. The first goal I achieved was being able to lift 115 lbs on the leg extension. I accomplished this goal within the first two weeks. By the end of week three, I slowly made my way to 10 reps of 115 lbs constantly. I believe that doing squats, wall-sit, and other leg workouts increased my ability to achieve the goal. I was unable to achieve my second goal because I set my standards too high. I was only able to run 3-6 minutes without stopping. Even after practicing on the track and at home, I believe I should have paced myself better and set the goal lower.
For my fitness testing I was unable to achieve most of my goals. The goals I achieved were flexibility, push ups,

Fitness and Goal Setting Knowledge Fitness and goal setting have been the main topic of conversation in this class. Whether we need to work on legs or arms today, or what we are going to do in the future. I learned that it is better to do quantity over quality when it comes to fitness workouts, and that it is always important to stretch and warm up your muscles before a workout to ensure you do not strain any muscles. For goal setting, I learned that if you pick a specific goal that you wish to achieve, like say to reach +10 in the fitness flexibility test, you can keep working towards that goal step by step, or in this case number by number, to reach your goals efficiently. When reaching towards a goal, you cannot just make it in one try…

For this health analysis I determined my THR ( target heart rate) using the formula (220-age x .60) and (220-age x .75) ; knowing that my maximum heart rate is 201 and my resting heart rate is 80 bpm .I decided to find out both my current target heart rate as well as my goal target heart rate . I range in the 60%, which makes my target heart rate 120.6 beats per minute. My goal is to be able to reach 75% up to 90% which will then make my goal range 150.75 - 180.9 bpm. I then decided to calculate my body mass index (BMI) online which concluded to 30.2. I range between overweight and obese; a healthy body mass index will be between 18.25 and 24.9, according to WebMD.…

Beginning with being assigned the task of creating a goal and action plans I was not really motivated to do the assignment. In the past, we have done goal setting for goals that I did not want to carry out. Instead for this assignment, we were given the opportunity to choose our goal and how we were going to carry it out. In addition, being able to reflect on times where we did not achieve our goal made me feel like the task would be more meaningful. I chose to create a goal relating to physical activity because I want to be more active and find a way to incorporate it into my life to reduce my stress.…
