The subject of fitness is talked about by thousands of individuals everyday, but what exactly is fitness? Is it as simple as everyone says it is? The subject of fitness is talked about as if it is so simple, but the reality is it 's not as simple as we make it out to be. There are a number of variables that go along and play a role in the subject. Throughout my paper I will talk about the fundamental basics of fitness; cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular fitness, muscular flexibility, and body composition.
Before going over the fundamental basics of health related fitness, let 's start by defining fitness. According to Merriam Webster, fitness is defined as ' the quality or state of being fit '. Though this definition doesn 't give the best explanation we are able to gain a grasp of what the term implies. Maybe this will help...According to the United Stated Department of Health and Human Services, fitness is defined as 'a set of attributes that people have or achieve that relates to the ability to perform physical activity '. The definition of fitness goes beyond the length of your workouts, your physical capabilities at a given time , etc. Fitness is made up of cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility.
