Sometimes you must let go of the people or animals you love. I once had a dog that i loved a lot. we would always play together after school, but then we had to move. The one major problem was that the apartment didn’t allow pets. The day we left, I had to say goodbye to my dogs.…
I’m Phynn the anthropomorphic Shark. Like every other shark with legs and arms in 500,000 A.D., I like to eat. Actually, I love to eat. Unlike most sharks, though, I enjoy cooking the fish I collect. My broad, webby hands give me just enough dexterity to be a chef.…
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to explore and delve deep into the ocean. I dreamt of breathing underwater and discovering a vastly unknown world that surrounds all of us. This lead to my interest in Marine Biology and how it has pushed my character past any interfering influence. There were so many media outlets that helped drive my passion for the water. The best way I can imagine to spend my time is to relax on a couch watching some of the best ocean films in history.…
We arrived at my aunt’s about 10:30 a.m. About four of my cousin’s are already changed and having fun. Once in my swimsuit I head out to meet Jordan and the other’s, whose names I can’t remember. We created a game. Whoever could dig the deepest hole in the water wins.…
When your life is in jeopardy you usually go back to your instincts and survival is your first priority. Despite this some people are able to override their instincts and remain calm while saving others. "The Man in the Water" is a great example of this happening. This is because even as he was clinging to a sinking plane with 5 others and as the rescue helicopter came he stayed calm assisted the others in rescue and in the end succumbed to the cold water before he was able to be rescued.…
I sat appalled, not daring to drop my gaze. His eyes were dark similar to mine when I would become enraged. Deep and hollow, no life in them. After all those years singing to a mirror or my shower head, those harmonic tunes... the owner of the song was just meters in front of me.…
The bravest I think I have ever been was when I jumped off the high dive. I thought I could hear my heart beating. The only reason I actually did it was because my brother told me just to look straight ahead, he said that it was his best friend’s house. I looked straight ahead there was a long row of houses and at my right was a small play ground yellow and a tall basketball hoop.…
“Der Tisch! Der Stuhl! Der Fish!” my German teacher yelled excitedly, as she pointed at the objects in our room. Jumping about, she continued with, “An, auf, hinter, neben, unter!”…
When I went crabbing. We were walking to the on the road on the way to the beach it was pitch black. We had our flashlights out when Elena said “ I am so excited” “me too” said Shea. I could tell we were getting close to the beach because I could hear the sound of the waves crashing against the sand. Elena had on shorts and a shirt with long blond hair shea had shorts and a shirt on too with long brown hair and glasses.…
The day I knew that Alexis Smith was going to be one of my favorite people was the same day I saw her rip off her stockings. The sun was hung high on that summer day when I saw Alexis tearing at her stockings. We were both there for a mutual friend’s birthday party and even though the party was outside, most of the partygoers were found indoors trying to fan themselves with whatever they could. I remember that even before Alexis had arrived I had already begun to sweat through my shirt. The grime made me nervous, at that time I was trying to woo a girl I had been obsessing over all summer and body odor was not going to help my chances.…
The Reef Along the shallow reefs in Hawaii, despite of different color of fishes, sea plants, also unfamiliar creatures I’ve never seen before. In regard to seeing couple baby sharks, I was a bit cautious with my surroundings. Even though I saw beautiful and strange things along the reefs. As well as, I had my father right beside me, I felt comfortable, and safe, before my father and I started to go snorkeling, the guy, gave us instructions , in spite of any dangerment comes our way. After the long lecture, my dad and I headed to the reefs to go snorkeling.…
A cliff-side introspective awakening My self selected memory for this final narrative is one that stuck with me until this writing of it because of its startling unexpectedness and the disturbing happenings that I accredit the birth of my larger thoughts about mortality and our experiences and times on this earth and my hope that you, the reader will find it interesting. My father, brother and I had gone out to a small nearby lake sunken in the earth with earth walls surrounding the body of water, on a small motorized boat, as one does, with North’s old wrestling coach who had extended the invitation to my father and the rest of his familial entourage. We had been out on the water for a couple hours, lazily swimming around. Occasionally…
I was riding before I was a year old, it's almost second nature for me. Last year mum decided she would take on some boarders. As I had “grown out” of my pony Crafty, we looked for a new horse for me. We found a horse who passed mum’s many high standards. We had this horse, Reg was his name.…
Next up Sid diving 101c front dive tuck 1.2,” the voices echoed throughout the pool deck. I got up on the board, there were eyes glued on me watching and waiting for me to fail. This dive was easy, I didn’t even need to think, start with an easy dive end with an easy dive. I began to walk…. 1, 2, 3, 4 then hurdle.…
I suffocate. Drowning deeper and deeper. Everything becomes a blur in an excruciating pace. My lungs are burning. I hear screaming.…
