Imagine waking up in a panic, with ten minutes to get ready; without having time to straighten, curl or blow dry your hair. Take a deep breath, because there is a solution for you; fishtail braiding. You can catch someone rocking the fishtail braid anywhere from the red carpet to a soccer game. The popular trend of the fishtail braid is so simple and easy to do on your own, but can completely transform your look from drab to fab.
It's hard to believe that such a trendy braid can be completed with just two products. You will first need one hair tie, any brand will do, but make sure the hair tie matches your hair color for the best result. You can find hair ties at almost any local grocery stores or beauty supply stores for around three dollars. In addition, this process requires a brush or comb (either will do), to detangle your hair before beginning. You can go to Target, Walmart or any other grocery stores near you to pick up a brush or comb for as cheap as two dollars. Remember, these two products are a necessity to making your braid look amazing.
Now, for the fun part. You will start by combing or brushing through all of your hair and make sure to get out any tangles that may get in the way. If you want to go for more of a messy fishtail braid, once you finish braiding pull out small sections of hair and it will give it a more “effortless” look.
