Life comes with tough times and usually we expect a lot more than what we get depending on what the person is doing, when we stay humble we learn the values of taking our time in life and making something good out of nothing and in the end it ends up being the best decision we make. I will never forget that fishing trip, I never thought for a second that I would have caught an ulua at the very end of the trip. If I was in a hurry leaving Opihi hale and didn't bother to enjoy the beautiful scenery one last time I would have never caught that fish! It was summer break and school was finally out, my friend josiah and I had planed big things while we were still in school. We spent a whole night packing equipment like food, clothes, blankets, …show more content…
We finally got to the road, It was an old trail that was nothing but sharp lava rocks. The only way you can access this place is if you have a lifted truck with four wheel drive. My friend josiah looked at me and asked “ wat you tink goin’ make um? “ I told looked at him and nodded my head saying “ guarantee we goin make um “. When driving on that type of terrain your vehicle tends to slip and lose its traction from the road because the rocks are so loose and the hill is so vertical. We ended up making it down to the spot we were planning on fishing pretty fast and it wasn't to complicated surprisingly. Josiah and I then started to set up camp and got the fishing poles out. The beach was beautiful it was straight lava rocks and surprisingly had greenery growing. The water was dark blue and rough. It was really hot but luckily the winds were strong that side of the island. There was not one house insight looking down the shoreline and up the hill. We had the whole place to our self, Josiah and I were so pumped thinking how lucky we were fishing opihi hale all to ourselves. This place was also known for the big uluas brought up some even over

I knew Red Lobster was a bad option. I wanted to go to Outback Steakhouse, but mom had her way, even on MY high school graduation. I was stuck, sitting in the booth, waitress staring at me for 15, 16, 17 seconds now. Sitting in my cap and gown, she asked again – “where are you going to college?” I’d prefer the Bloomin’ Onion to this any day of the week.…

Everywhere surrounding you are ginormous mountains with snow slowly melting and one huge blue body of water. There are trees all over the place, and everywhere you look you see nature and all of God’s creations. This fascinating place is Lake Tahoe, in Nevada. Lake Tahoe is absolutely one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been.…

My experience with the after school book club at Madison Elementary today was an exciting yet my patience was tested by a seven year old little boy named Jose. Today I was excited to see if my group would enjoy the book, “Where the Wild Things Are,” due to the fact everyone agreed they enjoy reading adventure books. Consequently, one of my group members, Jose, had already read the book and watched the movie and let the whole group know it was “boring.” Already bored he instantly lost interest in the book and the group and was making it known by distracting the other group members around him. Usually his partner in crime, Gilbert, agrees with him and goes along with him but this time was different and he ignored his friend because he was actually…

My previous camping trips I have taken in the past years have been memorable and full of hardship. I consider myself a very outgoing and adventurous person, that is why I go on crazy trips. Canoeing is my preferred way of traveling when touring lakes and rivers such as the Boundary waters and the Flambeau river. Major disadvantage of canoes is that they weigh up to 85 pounds. The weight matters being when crossing land to get to the next lake the canoe goes on your shoulders to carry it.…
