He made sure I baited my hooks, set my bobbers, and had the correct amount of weight on my pole. He watched me cast and encouraged me to be patient when I did not get a bite on my line within the first few minutes. We brought along our fishing rods, baits, and cold drinks. Soon, we found a shady spot, fixed the hook, threw our lines into the water and waited. Half an hour later, there was still no sign of any fish. Suddenly, I shouted excitedly that I felt a sharp tug at my line. He became excited too and helped me to pull the fish out as it was heavy almost cutting off my pinky. He was overly excited at the sight of the huge gray fish.
