After reading Fish In A Tree I have many thoughts about it. To start with Fish In A Tree is a kids novel by Lynda Mullaly Hunt published in the year 2015. The book’s protagonist is a girl named Ally Nickerson who suffers from a condition known as dyslexia, this is a very common disorder in which the person harboring it has a lot of trouble reading and writing. For example the words dance, and reading and writing give headaches. Ally always tries her best to make sure no one finds out about it, she bluffs and avoids situation where her secret will be revealed. That all changes when Ally gets a new teacher because her current one (Mrs.Hall) had a baby. Ally is also a very big trouble maker who goes to the office almost everyday, for example instead of giving Mrs.Hall a normal card for her baby, she gave her an empathy card, this was an accident as Ally couldn’t read the card to tell. Mr Daniels is a new teacher who’s in his mid 20’s who finally understands Ally, underneath the troublemaker, he sees a bright, smart, friendly, and curious girl. Unfortunately for Ally, even with a new and fresh teacher she still gets constantly teased and harassed at school. Ally’s biggest enemy is a girl named Shay who constantly teases her and tries to find her weaknesses. In spite of this Ally does her best to ignore Shay and her friend Jessica who also bullies Ally. Ally is now also getting help from Mr.Daniels who does not condone bullying, Mr.Daniels does his best to help her, but Ally still struggles at home, because her brother Travis can tell you all the parts of as car but can’t read. Ally’s is mom is also a very busy, overworked waitress, so Ally doesn't want to bother her. Mr.Daniels then asks Ally to stay after school with him to play chess, and then she wouldn’t have to do homework, this is as Mr.Daniels wants Ally to learn
