Persuasive Essay On Sea Animals

How would you feel if someone kidnapped you and took you far away from your family? What if you did some dangerous job just to be fed? Well sadly, that is exactly what has happened to some unlucky sea animals. These dolphins and Sea Lions should not be used in the Navy because they are at risk of losing their lives, they are deceived by their task and think that they are playing a game, and they are fighting for victory of a problem they did not start. Dolphins and Sea Lions are at risk of losing their lives while they are a part of the Navy. For example, in Dolphins, sea lions train for Navy deployment to overseas trouble spots, it is stated that “The dolphins and the sea lions, using their keen eyesight and ‘biological sonar,’ are expert at finding mines.” This means that Dolphins and Sea Lions are risking their innocent lives to find life-threatening underwater mines. They are trained as well as drones are programmed to find these underwater trouble spots. Although, what if they mess up on a mission? They think they are playing a game by locating mines. It’s almost like they win by finding the most mines. However, that’s not completely what’s happening; they are finding mines, but it’s not a game. In reality it’s a dangerous operation that only benefits human hands, yet puts the life of a non-benefiting creature in jeopardy. In Animals at War: Ethical Questions, it states that “‘To them what they are doing may appear as a game…’”. This is explaining the fact that the animals in, not just the Navy, but the world are being deceived by tasks that are given to the animal by greedy human hands that seek “free” rewards.
