When I first decided to take this course I did not have high expectations for it. I thought it would be an easy class to take and all we would talk about is the problems African-Americans face in modern America, I was wrong. The exercise on the first day was actually eye opening. Basing a person’s race on their name and picture may seem easy but, it can actually show how little you know about race and ethnicity.
