First-Year Experience
Entering college for the first time can be intimidating but at Tarrant County College, the experience is simpler. Preparing to attend college may seem hard to start but here are some reasons to decide to attend Tarrant County College, learn how to enroll, choose the right professors and classes, purchase all the required materials, reasons to attend to orientation, and how to balance college with personal life.
Deciding to attend college for the first time is a step closer to a better life; better life for oneself and/or future/current family. Attending college will open many job opportunities based on the career path one pursues. The job opportunities will come with higher pay rate and a chance for advancement within a job company, if applied. If one loses job for any reason, one will have college experience and degree to find another job. Attending college will make one a better person and help improve confidence for future careers. After deciding to attend college, one must decide which college campus is more convenient based on location, courses, and programs.
Keeping the desired campus to attend in mind, enrolling to TCC is the next step. First, one needs to have social security number, active email address, personal information such as date of birth and current physical address, parents education history, and

This will allow applicant to familiarize oneself with the college campus, staff and faculty and all the available resources. Orientation is required for all incoming students to Tarrant County College. New Student Orientation (NSO) focuses on the advantages for attending college, meeting new people, and using available resources for an easier learning experience. Tarrant County College offers many helpful tools that incoming students will learn upon attending orientation.
