In the Bible, the first two chapters of Genesis explain the creation of the world from two distinct perspectives in order to explain the origins of life: Genesis One depicts humanity and animals as equals within a peaceful world but Genesis Two describes the creation of Adam before animals and Eve. In Genesis Three, Eve becomes humanity’s “villain” because of her disobedience to God and her punishment becomes the justification for evil in the world and a basis for the role of women. However, these perceptions fail to truthfully convey why the Genesis chapters negatively interpret and underestimate her abilities as a woman and a human being.
