There are many challenges for Bethune Cookman University’s First Time Freshmen. Financial aid being the greatest of all. Cookman being a private institution makes expenses more costly than State Colleges. Cookman First Time freshmen paying tuition and/or college loans makes money matters as the top financial challenge. Students just coming out of high school do not have a lot of money. Not many students have save up that much money even if they have been working since they were younger. The people who will find a way to get through college despite the costs is a personal challenge. In High School teens don't really think about saving for financial difficulty they may run into as a college freshman. Paying for books, room and board, tuition and groceries for the doom just don't come to mind as a High School senior.
BCU dining is a wonderful experience. BCU understands each student has different eating habits which is why BCU Dining created this meal plan for you. There are different meal plans to chose from. As a BCU Freshman you are required to stay on Campus. On campus room and board is provided by the school at a cost of $8,710 per academic year. Living off campus can be a cheaper option. Students choosing to live off campus elsewhere in Daytona Beach should budget at least this amount. In general, the cost for housing can often be less with an off-campus apartment shared by roommates. As a transition from home life to living on your own, a year on campus housing can be easier than living in an apartment.
