In my visual representation, I drew huge flames as a background to represent the disasters and tragedies that the war has cost to Ung and the Cambodian people. Most fire cause disaster, which is why I used it as the background. She has come from a horrible past and for Ung's sake, she would like to forget it. I used dark red, with hints of orange and yellow for the flames to stand out. I also used hints of blue to show how intense and dangerous the flames are. The black behind the flames forces you to pay attention to the detail. The colors of the soccer ball, cheerleader, and the pizza are simply the colors of those items in real life. I drew them to represent her new hobbies and activities. Ung tried many things to help her forget her past. I use the white background as a little bubble trying to protect Ung from her past. I also drew a picture of Loung with cut and cut and curly hair, and dark makeup around her eyes. This shows how serious it was for her to change her appearance just to fit in with everyone. This shows how uncomfortable she was in her own appearance. She wanted no part of her old self with her in the new county, due to the terrible memories that come along with
