All over America there are children who want to play golf but can’t. Some might ask “Why can’t they?” well, there are many reasons. Many of them simply can’t afford to go and pay the fees which can get a bit pricey at certain locations. Some of them have no way to get to the golf course and play. Their parents are working all day. They may have siblings that require more attention and their parents cannot focus on them. This is not fair to the child; they want to do something that every child should be able to do; play sports. This causes many effects on a child’s mind. One of the biggest events that they host is The First Tee Open. This year it will be hosted on September 22-27 at Pebble Beach, California. This is one of the most famous courses in America. The juniors are selected from all across the country to compete and are mentored by tour professionals. Money from this event goes towards benefiting The First Tee which is a great cause.
You can donate to The First Tee to help the cause, one of these ways is simply by volunteering. People can donate their time by coaching the students at The First Tee which has a great impact on the children. You can also donate equipment, it can be new or gently used, anything helps. One of the last ways you can donate is money. The great thing about donating money is that The First Tee has a matching program. The matching program helps you double the money you are donating to them. The way this works is some of the companies that sponsor The First Tee offer this.
