Christian don't identify our faith by the ritual or tradition such as having Christmas tree or Santa bringing gifts to children during Christmas. It can be confidence in something that is not seen, such as a promise and an engagement; it can be a belief that has not been proven, for example, a religious belief shared by a group of people who work together to provide support for going deeper into their similar faith. In “God, Science, and Imagination”,Wendell Berry indicates that fundamentalists of both religion and science do not adequately understand or respect imagination, which, when properly defined, is a way of knowing as much as science or religion is. Susan Blackmore, the author of “Strange Creatures”, asserts that it is the ability to imitate…

That being we must have a deep concern over what is being portrayed to children involving religion. We must address the importance in not just understanding of different religions, but the concept of tolerating them, not because you are forced, but because you understand the role religion plays in each person’s life. The fifth and most current stage I am in is the “Individuative-Reflective Faith” stage, and this happens in early adulthood. I started thinking critically about my faith when I took confirmation in 10th grade. I think I was fortunate enough to have church leaders in my life who wanted me to question my faith, and find what it meant to me. Early adulthood was when things really started to kick off. Nike Air Force Ones, baggy jeans and long white tees were a staple in my daily attire. This is done in an effort set a strong foundation for growth based upon the parent’s religious and personal beliefs to raise a child with morals, a strong sense of self, and of community. However, religion can inadvertently be a tool for intolerance against those of different beliefs. Heiphetz and colleagues performed five experiments using children and adults to study both implicit and explicit attitudes among both groups. The first experiment was performed on adults who were asked to read two vignettes regarding either a Christian or Jewish person.…

When a child is born, they are raised under the discernment of their parents and are expected to obey them. However, a child also has the ability to make their own decisions and follow their heart. I was raised in a Christian home and had to obey the house rules, but as I became older, I realized that I had the opportunity to make my own decisions and I didn’t have to be a follower of Christ.…
