First Shot Themes

The toughest decisions you ever have to make require thought, energy, brain power and strength. In the end, they can help you realize who you are, and the important events that you affect. Although we are not always sure that the decisions we make are the best ones, as long as we follow our minds and hearts, and we make sure to keep what is important on the mind we will succeed. First Shot by Walter Sorrels is a quick paced story that creates conflict which shows you that sometimes the most difficult decisions can show us what is really important.

 First Shot has an important theme that can relate to our own lives. The theme that our decisions help us realize important things is something we use on a daily basis. For example, if you had two friends who didn’t really like each other, they both want to hang out the same day and you have to choose one of them, who do you choose? Let’s say one of the friends is going to be doing something that is not right, while the other wants to just hang out. You now have to make an important decision, do you risk that friend not being your friend cause you don’t want to hang out, or do you risk doing something wrong.
